Vicla-Style Harley-Davidson

“The bike has had a complete make-over and I’m over the moon with how it’s turned out,” said Keith, the owner of this Vicla-Style Harley-Davidson.

AS A kid, I loved hearing and seeing Harleys go by. I always said, “When I can get one, I will…” My first Harley was a learner legal Sportster. I didn’t have it for long before I sold it and got a Breakout. I had my Breakout for couple years before selling it, which I’ve always regretted. I bought a V-Rod next but sold it pretty quickly as they were pretty much every second bike. I decided I wanted to build a Vicla-style Harley-Davidson as there isn’t too many around Canberra.

I bought the Harley-Davidson Deluxe and did a few mods and the paint done… but it wasn’t really what I was after so it sat for nearly two years while I was trying to come up with an idea of what I wanted.

Finally I caught up with Tanti from Twenty6Twenty Cycles and had a chat with him about what I wanted to do with the bike. He helped me with quite a lot of ideas, and said to drop it around to him and he’ll get started.

I sent the front fender, tank and new stretched rear fender to Marcus at Deathwish Customs who had previously done an awesome job with my Breakout. He spent a lot of time on this one, and as you can see, it has turned out crazy. The pin-striping and gold-leaf set it off, which were done by Dony from @Donyspinstriping.

While the tins were away for paint, Tanti had the bike completely apart and was working his magic with all the mods.

The bike has had a complete make-over and I’m over the moon with how it’s turned out. There’s way too many mods to mention them all, but I want to give a massive thanks to the boys who helped me bring my vision to life.

Previous to this make-over I barely rode the Deluxe as I wasn’t a big fan of it and also I didn’t have much time to ride. But now, after getting it back, I make sure I ‘find’ the time to ride it!

THE fabulous model on Keith’s vicla-style Harley-Davidson is none other than his beautiful wife Tenelle. Looking at the photos, it’s not hard to see the chemistry between them. A match made in Heaven, I’d say — Skol.
