Gladiators MC Bike, Car & Tattoo Show

Back to the Big House we go! For some of us, this was the first time we’d entered the gaol without a strip search.

THE GLADIATORS MC has organised the Bike, Car & Tattoo Show for the many years, however, last year the show was moved from the old venue at the Maitland showground to its new location at the old Maitland Gaol.

The day kicked off around lunchtime with all the custom cars polished and parked out front of the gaol, as well as 100 or so of the Gladiators’ bikes to get you all revved up.

Inside the gaol, in the yard at the back of ‘B’ wing, you could find all the custom bike and trikes on display to check out, and for some people, to only dream of. Needless to say, the judges were having a hard time trying to pick the best of the best with so much blood, sweet and tears, in addition to the cash, put into the custom bike and cars. Some wild custom paint jobs didn’t make the job any easier either.

The People’s Choice was a hard one to pick; the quality of bikes and cars was fantastic.

The old ‘A’ wing was open to the public to visit the cells and see what gaol life would have been like back in the day. Custom Ink was set up in there doing awesome ink work on some of the willing public. I suppose it’s one way of saying you got it inside without doing the hard yards!

The promo girls did a great job walking around selling tickets for a Harley-Davidson FXDB with jacket & helmet. All the proceeds going to charity.

The Gladiators MC put on a really great day for all — more than 3000 people walked through the gates. It was a great day walking around with so much to see, do and buy to customise your bike. The kids not being left out with clothes & spray-on tatts for them too.

BBQ and drinks were sold out of the old kitchen and the side of ‘B’ wing.

It was an great sight to see the bands rocking on in the oval, with a couple of local young bands to kick things off, followed up by Dirty Deeds who pumped out some mad tunes. The $500 wet T-shirt comp lead the way for Black Label, the strippers and more.

The day didn’t finish there — the party kept kicking on back at the Gladiators clubhouse with buses running from the gaol back to the clubhouse for more drinks, a stripper and more music from Dirty Deeds.
