SMOKED Garage has developed an international reputation for building unique, one-off, jaw-dropping custom motorcycles. Originating in Bali, Indonesia, the brand expanded to Australia a few years ago, opening a workshop & showroom first in Mt Gravatt, before relocating to an incredible, 120-plus-year-old warehouse/former ice factory in the back streets of Fortitude Valley.
Smoked Garage has since stepped it up a notch (or rather, several) and relocated again, this time now to a permanent home — an even more incredible three story building bang on Wickham Street at the top end of the Valley. Also more than a hundred-years-old, the new location features exposed beams, high ceilings, brick walls and timber floors — and a whole lot of history.
The basement houses the fully functional workshop; and the Wickham Street level features the showroom displaying a collection of beautiful, hand crafted machines — cafe racers, bobbers, scramblers, and everything in between.
A coffee shop serving what is hands down the tastiest coffee your hard earned can buy — no joke. Some simple food offerings are on the menu to start but will expand quickly over time.
The third (top) level will eventually become a dedicated event space with over 330 sqm of open area — due for completion late 2018.
Opening hours: cafe from 6 am Monday — Friday.
Showroom 8.30 am — 5 pm Monday — Friday; 8.30 am — 3 pm Saturdays.
