Koolsville Tattoo Studio Benefit Gig

Saturday 20 April

The Triffid, 7-9 Stratton Street, Newstead Qld 4006.

On 1st of March tragedy struck the Kosenko family when their business was taken by fire. Koolsville Studios was burnt down and the losses financially and emotionally were huge. Due to government laws, tattoo studios are not able to be insured.

Koolsville was not only a tattoo shop, it was also a laser removal clinic, retail store and art gallery. It was a family business.

They and their employees have suffered a great loss and the music community of Brisbane has come together to help them out in a very trying time.

All money raised at this Benefit Gig will go directly to Little Mick, Tracey and their children to help support them through the next few months and to help them to rebuild Koolsville bigger and better.

Update by Tracey:

It has been two weeks since Koolsville Studios was destroyed by a fire that was deliberately lit. We are struggling to come to terms with the devastation and loss that we have suffered. After everything that the government has done to us we were finally starting to feel like we were getting back on our feet. But to now have to endure the pain of such extensive loss we are just unsure of what to do next.

I would firstly like to thank the amazing friends, family, customers and even strangers that have generously been offering their time, love and support. It is helping us get through. Sadly having no insurance we are looking at about a million dollar loss of machines, artwork, laser and merchandise, etc.

There have been some amazing people setting up fundraisers for us inc a Go Fund Me page, The Koolsville Studios Benefit Gig and various rides. I will attach the links to these. Tickets for the gig are available now. Get in now to secure yours; this will be a great night and tickets are limited. Don’t miss out.

Today I will be updating the website with items that are still available for purchase. Some with discounted prices due to smoke or different packaging. Thank you again to all that have helped. https://www.facebook.com/events/2273148716276731/
