MY Sporty came from Queensland; it was an ebay purchase. The guy had done quite a bit — he’d lowered it, put on new handlebars, new triple-trees, air filter, changed the lights, and a few other pieces.
It had what we call a skirt-blow-exhaust, which sort of points upwards. It wasn’t running right at all so I pulled off the exhaust and ended up fitting several different ones until I was able to tune it properly.
I moved the handlebars to the top of the triple-trees; they were right down towards the lower end of the forks; way too low; and I added the bar-end mirrors.
I played around with the electrical but apart from that… it’s a pretty neat Sportster with the exposed rear tyre and stuff. It rides nice on the road too; it’s smooth, yeah.
