Classic Harley-Davidson Softail Slim

“I wanted a modern bike with classic looks,” said Shawn.

I BOUGHT the bike new, my first H-D. It took three years to build mostly because I was tight on money. I love choppers, bobbers, diggers, customs and everything else, but for my personal ride, I just wanted something subtle, rideable and reliable.

Most of the brackets/work was done by myself:

  • 18-inch alloy rim on front with 16-inch alloy rim on rear. Stainless spokes laced to STD hubs.
  • Alloy hubcap on front spool.
  • Triumph Bonneville front fender with stainless support brackets.
  • 5.75 centre-mount chrome headlight with stainless peak.
  • Brooklands sports car windshield with stainless brackets.
  • Flanders stye handlebar risers; H-D comfort grips.
  • Mother Road Customs solo seat with hand-tooled leather cover.
  • 2010 H-D Deluxe front fender on the rear; custom brackets so it bolts onto the STD swing-arm.
  • Custom stainless rack on rear fender.
  • 2019 Triumph Bonneville front turn signals (on the rear).
  • Custom alloy dash board.
  • Custom alloy bullet spotlight: Land Rover Defender lens.
  • Wood insert on foot boards plus smaller brake pedal rubber.
  • Screamin’ Eagle air-filter kit with chrome Twin Cam air-filter cover modified to fit.
  • Vance & Hines slip-on mufflers with custom Bellmouth tips.
  • Mild Andrews cams and solid lifters.
  • Custom stainless coil cover.
  • Finn Moto leather tool bag.
  • STD belt guard trimmed, lowered and chromed.
  • Custom stainless rear pulley cover.
