The Silver Bullet Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight

Sunshine Coast Harley-Davidson was established by John Faithful in 2003 and has built a healthy reputation for top quality service and customer satisfaction.

FOR OUR Forty-Eight we wanted to hint at the old school timber speedway racers. With this in mind, we inverted the bars to drop the rider position. It required filling and repainting the bars and internally wiring to give clearance.

The paint was a little timeless. We wanted it to look racer-like but also a bit wild so we chose a heavy metalflake silver and accented it with powder blue. Paint was by Wilky’s Pro Paint.

For performance we fitted Screamin’ Eagle air-kit and Race Tuner, and Vance & Hines 2-into-1 blackout performance exhaust.

The numbering is again a retro style and done in bold yellow and black, hinting at a racer.

The wheels and trim where powder-coated. White walls were a must.

Keeping it all cool is a Genuine oil cooler.

The rest was finishing off the bike with Genuine black axle-nut-covers, pivot-bolt-covers, wrinkle-black rocker-covers, black flush-mount fuel-cap, leather Brawler seat, LED handlebar fuel-gauge and nostalgic grips.

The concept was a team effort headed up by Andre La Vita, our Service Manager at Sunshine Coast Harley-Davidson, and was put together by one of our techs, Bryan Farrow.
