Here is a list of all the events that are happening in Australia in the next couple of months. This is a free service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Remember, if it ain't in Ozbike, it ain't worth going to.

Thunderbolt Rally (NSW); 17 May. At Dungog Showground (new venue). Bike, hot rod & mini truck show. Entertainment 12 noon till late. Tattoo show & a demolition derby Saturday afternoon. Camping on site with food & drink, hot showers. Rally in aid of Cystic Fibrosis. Party at the Bank Hotel Dungog Friday night for the early arrivals. Organised by the American Motorcycle Club. Bad Penny Run & Rage (Vic); 17—18 May. At Lake Mundi. Run leaves Shell Roadhouse, Penola, at 10.30 am (SA time). 4 live bands, burnout comp, wet T-shirt, raffles, huge bonfire. Ample parking; fully catered & licensed. Dirt drags Sunday 11 am. No BYO, no dogs, no glass. Ring Stretch: 0429-671-200.
32nd Historic Winton (Vic); 24—25 May. Winton Motor Raceway, Benalla, Victoria. Australia's largest & most popular all-historic motor race meeting presents two action-packed days of non-stop racing featuring more than 400 historic racing cars & motorbikes from the 1920s to the 1980s. A highlight is the classic-vehicle-park featuring special interest bikes & cars. Entry fees: Saturday $20; Sunday $30; children 14 & under free. Rallyman Rally (NSW); 6—9 June (Queen’s Birthday weekend). Where: Grevillia, northern NSW (Summerland Way, beside the Grevillia Store, between Kyogle & Woodenbong). Lost But Not Forgotten Poker Run (NSW); 7 June. Ride for those you have lost. Sign on 10 am at Lapstone Hotel, Blaxland East, Great Western Highway; leave 11 am. All bikes welcome. Live bands, female review. Presented by Outcasts MC. Contact: 0448-138-852.

Ride for Daniel (Qld); 8 June. Last year nearly 5000 bikers took part making it the largest & loudest annual ride in Australia. The 110 km ride will leave at 10 am from the Big Pineapple carpark heading past Daniel’s memorial then north through scenic hinterland to Nambour, Cooroy, Yandina, & through the Coolum Beach area. The ride finishes around 12 noon followed by an afternoon of camaraderie & fun of an after-party at one of Australia’s greatest icons, the Ettamogah Pub. More info: Melinda: 0407-645-652.
MRAQ Midwinter Rally (Qld); 13—15 June. To be held at the Dayboro Showground (MT Mee Rd). Up The Creek (Vic); 4—6 July. Hosted by MOTA. Sealed roads to the Jung Recreation Reserve. Fully catered; on-site camping & toilet facilities. Gymkhana Saturday arvo; band Saturday night. Triumph & British Bike Show (Qld); 12 July. Held in conjunction with the Laidley Ag Show. 9 am turn up with the street parade through town at 11 am; you may even have your bike selected by one of the showgirls for her ride in the parade! 6 classes, People’s Choice, giveaways & more. Judging at midday with presentations around 1.30 pm followed by the show lap around the Laidley showgrounds. 20th Annual Story Bridge Concours (Qld); 20 July. Presented by Club Laverda Qld Inc at Captain Bourke Park, Main Street, Kangaroo Point. A family day with free admission (gold coin donation supporting Make A Wish Foundation). National Vietnam Veterans Day (NSW); 16 August. National Vietnam Veterans Day aka Long Tan Day is to be held at the VVMC NSW chapter property Pearlbrook near Murrurundi. Just follow the signs along Timor Road to Scotts Creek Road. Gates open at 10 am with an entry fee of $10 per person; under 18-year-old admitted free of charge. Kids welcome. Bikers Art X-posed (Qld); 26 September—5 October. Kenilworth Hotel will be the main venue for the bike-art display. Bike enthusiasts share a common appreciation for the universal language of bike themes. This year’s show will present: Art on jeanery, art on canvas, photography, wood works, sculpture, pottery, airbrushing, tattoo art. Kenilworth is situated on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland & is connected in all directions with beautiful roads running through untouched rainforests & mountain ranges. Fish Holes Rally (Vic); 7—9 November. South West Touring Club are holding their annual rally at Mount Richmond. Follow the rally signs from the Shell servo at Portland. Fully catered, no BYO. Pickled Galah New Year’s Eve Rally (Qld); 30 December—3 January. Qld longest rally! Live music, show & shine, tattoo show, pub olympics including the infamous ‘bike jousting’, wet t-shirt comp, cash prize, loads of trophies, lucky gate prizes, great camping inc hot showers, fully catered & country pub prices. Nostalgic, Vintage & Hotrod Swap Meet (NSW); 8 February 2009. 8 am—2 pm. Stall holders to be set up by 7.30 am & reopen at 1 pm for OH&S reasons. No bric-a brac or household goods! Vehicle enthusiasts only. Motorcycle, vintage and hotrod clubs welcome! Blast from the past, trip down memory lane. Individuals are encouraged to bring their weird, rare or classic speed equipment for the display; please let us know what you are bringing. Trophy for Best Rat. Sponsors welcome.
