Independence Day Ride (NSW); 4 July. 12 noon Shell/Coles Express, Parramatta Road, Five Dock near Concord Oval; depart 12.15 pm for a ride into the city to ride past Parliament House several times during a UMC press conference at 1 pm.
Winter Rally (NSW); 11—12 July. 50 acres of land approx. 4 km south of Nerriga on the Nowra/Braidwood Road. Gates open Friday. Plenty of camping & firewood, with a huge bonfire & a band playing on Saturday night. Refreshments & food available. Gymkhana Saturday3 pm; trophies presented at 8 pm. leave your dogs, glass and bad attitudes at home, bring the family & have a great time with us. Entry $20 or $15 prepaid. Emu Gully Land & Air Spectacular (Qld); 11—12 July. Emu Gully is located at the foothills of Toowoomba. This is a full 2 day motorcycle rally & poker run held in conjunction with Emu Gully's event. MS Research Ride (Vic); 12 July. Every entrant gets a ticket in a raffle for an acoustic guitar signed by some of Australia's finest guitarists. The guitar can be seen at the Melbourne Acoustic Centre in the city. Entry fee $20. 8.30 am: leave Frankston Pier carpark. Ride up the Nepean Highway & Beach Road to the carpark outside the Port Melbourne Yacht Club where Beaconsfield Parade meets Bay Street for coffee. Riders from the east & north of Melbourne can meet us there. 10.30 am: leave for a quick bite in Geelong on the waterfront where riders have a choice of eateries. Then we ride to Queenscliff for the ferry to Sorrento. A short stop at Sorrento for coffee & to draw the winner of the guitar. We ride up over Arthur's Seat then head for home. It's a longish day & it may be cold, wet & windy, or the sun may be out, reflecting the journey of MS victims. Rain, hail or shine, we ride. Please join us or come & see us at one of the stops. 32nd All Bike Show (FNQ); 18—19 July. Paxton's Old Warehouse, River Street, Mackay. Entries from 7.30 am Saturday. Public admissions Saturday 10 am—9 pm; Sunday 8.30 am to Class Presentations at 3 pm. There will in excess of 100 bikes on display covering 15 classes, from vintage to classic to competition & customs. Bar & food available on site. All the major bike shops will be in attendance. Vietnam Veterans Day Poker Run (NSW); 1 August. Registration starts at 1000 @ Bangalow RSL; kick stands up @ 1100 sharp with 4 stops with a lunch break. Bring your swags as there is heaps of camping space at the clubhouse. $20 entry. Best hand $200; worst hand $50. All bikes & bike riders welcome. Blanket Run (NSW); 2 August. Meet 10 am, Krispy Kreme, Panthers Leagues Club, Mulgoa Road, Penrith; leave 11 am for Church Street Mall, Parramatta, for the launch of Homeless Persons Week. Don’t forget to bring a blanket for the homeless in Sydney’s west. Bikers Australia & Brotherhood CMC.
Absolute KAOS (NSW/Qld); 8 August—10 October. Stanthorpe, Narrabri, Inverell, Tweed Coast, Dalby, Beaudesert, Goondiwindi. Absolute KAOS is a show like no other that has been performed anywhere on this planet! I We have our KAOS super tent, freestyle riders including Nitro Circus, X-Games & international riders; in the middle of the ramps we have a DJ stage with some great DJ’s pumping out some great music while the FMX guys fly & flip over the top of them, & just to add a bit more to the mix, a full BMX-skate park each side of the stage with BMX & Scooters flipping & jumping as well. National Vietnam Veterans Day (NSW); 15 August. Chapter property Pearlbrook near Murrurundi (just follow the signs along Timor Road to Scotts Creek Road). Gates open 10 am. Black Dog Ride to the Red Centre (Oz Wide); 15—22 August. 400 Black Dog Riders are hitting the highways culminating in a national meet up in the red heart of Australia. Why are these riders spending thousands to face all weather conditions & long days in the saddle? Because they love riding & are dedicated to raising awareness of depression & suicide prevention. Australian National Show & Shine (Vic); 4 October. Seven Creeks Park, Euroa, beside a meandering stream with plenty of shade trees. 8 am—3 pm; judging starts 10 am. 90 trophies for all makes from veteran to latest model show cars & bikes. Visitors $2; show vehicles $5 (includes driver). Rated a ‘must visit’ by Unique Cars Magazine with more than 1000 vehicles on display, live music in three different locations, 80 stall street market, trade stalls, plenty of hot country food, & children's rides. Blessing of the Bikes (Vic); 10 October. More than 2000 motorbikes last year. Fish Holes Motorcycle Rally (Vic); 13—15 November. Enduro Road (follow the rally signs from the Shell servo at Portland). Fully catered; no BYO. Showers, toilets & firewood supplied. Biker Events in December 2015
26th Annual Wollongong Toy Run (NSW); 5 December. Cnr Shellharbour Road & Addison Street, Shellharbour. Leaves at 10.30 am sharp; travelling to Wollongong lower Mall (Crown Street). Please do not wrap toys/presents. Toys should be for ages 3—13 (ages 10—13 in most need). Please avoid donating fluffy toys. Steve: 0400-377-085.
Toy Run (Vic); 6 December. Father Bob in Melbourne. The 2014 event was a small soggy success. It rained & rained but we did some good for Father Bob & we generated some positive publicity for motorcycle & scooter riders. It was a great atmosphere.Biker Events in February 2016
