Christmas Light Night Charity Ride (Qld); 26 November. Ride for the Children’s Ward. Gifts for the children to use in hospital arriving at night on a two-wheeled iron sled. Meet 5:30 pm at The Pines Elanora outside McDonalds; depart 6 pm sharp. Ride up the highway to (or meet at) the Q-Super Centre, Markeri Street; depart 6:45 pm sharp. Ride up the highway to (or meet at) the Harbour Town Shopping Centre; depart 7:15 pm. Arrive at the Hospital at approx. 7:25 pm to be greeted by the staff when we deliver the gifts. 40th & Final Christmas Rally (NSW); 5—6 December. Rally is held approx. 4 km south of Nerriga, on the Nowra/Braidwood Road. Gates open Friday. Refreshments & food available. 50 acres of land with plenty of camping & firewood, with a bonfire on Saturday night (fire bans permitting).Band playing on Saturday night. If it all gets too hot for you go for a swim down in the creek. Gymkhana 3 pm on Saturday afternoon; trophies presented on Sunday at 8 am. Entry fee is $20 or $15 prepaid. Canberra Toy Run (ACT); 12 December. We have now been raising money & donating goods for those in need at Christmas for 35 years! This year we are again supporting the Salvation Army & St John’s Care’s Christmas Appeals & ask that participants bring along toys for all ages, cash & non-perishable foods. Meet at Old Parliament House at 8 am for the best coffee & bacon & egg rolls. Departs 10 am for the mass ride around the city, ending up back at Old Parliament House. Spectators are encouraged to line the route & turn up for the presentation of the donated goods & cash. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed riders, pillions & decorated bikes, largest corporate group, the largest club attendance & the club supporting the largest Christmas theme! Annual Ipswich Toy Run (Qld); 13 December. Meet Brassall Shopping Centre (Hunter Street). Registration from 8 am; departs 10.30 am. Finish at Ipswich Show Grounds. Become part of the festivities by participating in the ride, donating a toy or by coming out to see Santa & the motorbikes as they pass. All bikes parked on the Ipswich Show Grounds oval at the conclusion of the ride (keep following the leader). Bikes are not locked in. Toy Run For Father Bob (Vic); 13 December. O’Donnell Gardens next to Luna Park in St Kilda. No event registration or fee; just roll up for 5 minutes or 5 hours from 9 am to 3 pm. If you aren’t riding there’s a tram stop right outside Luna Park. Bring your kids to see the bikes. There will be live music in the gardens, a Sunday Market on the Upper Esplanade, the beach & St Kilda Pier & lots of great places to eat. The toy run will leave Luna Park at 11 am & travel along the beach to Port Melbourne then back to Luna Park. All road laws apply. Please do not overtake on the ride. A police escort has been requested. There will be a prize for the best decorated motorcycle, scooter, sidecar & trike. Riders are encourage to wear fancy dress. This is a 3-day car, bike & music festival held the weekend before Australia Day. 100 percent of the proceeds donated to Father Chris Riley’s Youth off the Streets through the NSWRL Hogs for Homeless team. Meet at the War Memorial, Canberra, at 12 noon then ride to Old Parliament House to demand from our Government a Bill Of Rights for all Australians. This is what our soldiers marched for—all our freedoms & rights. Now it’s time it be put in place. Without a Bill Of Rights the Government will do the will of the Government & not the will of the people.
